One of today's emails...

We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't.

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine, after the rain....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call.....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips, can calm every fear...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light...

The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love....

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

..and you question God -'why me?'..

always look at the bigger picture......

A day without the Lord- Is a day wasted.

Best Brittle Around!

What do you do with a twelve year old that wants to start a business? My husband and I say, "Let's do it!" For two years now my son has wanted to begin a business, but wasn't sure of what to do, or the goals he wanted to achieve in doing so.

Once he came up with the goal the "what" followed within minutes. The first goal is to buy a nice first car in four years. After brainstorming a few minutes the what turns out to be Peanut Brittle. Within minutes of the "what" idea came the company name, Uncle Farmer's Candy.

Last night an email account, UncleFarmersCandy@gmail.com, was created for the business, for comments and taking orders. Soon he will have a website up and running.

Uncle Farmer's Candy has order requests already, including International ones!

If you think you've had good brittle, try some of Uncle Farmer's Candy Peanut Brittle--you'll love it! I did, and it took me back many years. I was a little girl again enjoying the best ever Sunday afternoon treat.

As he and I sat on the steps of the front porch for only a short period of time the beginning of a whole new world opened up to my son. What an exciting time in a young person's life!  I thank God for giving us that moment, and many more like it on the journey we call "Life!"

God bless...
