Is Sunday School Important?

I personally believe it is. I should... I am the Sunday School Superintendent of our local church, but more than that I believe in it's purpose. It's a time to really get into the heart of a subject and devour the WORD, ask questions and have a discussion. Sunday School is available for any age. I remember as a child going to Sunday School, at one time my Pastor's Wife was our teacher. She prayed for us every week, taught us the Bible and most of all never gave up on us. Later, as an adult I called her to thank her for her faithfulness to God and to us kids. I was able to tell her I had been saved and was living for Christ. That made her day. At this time she had been discouraged with her own personal trials and hearing my victory story made her feel much better. Now many years later I still believe Sunday School is vital to your spiritual growth be it child, teen or adult years. It doesn't have to be on Sunday morning or even Sunday for that matter but that time you spend that time together in a small group discussing God's WORD and applying it to our daily lives. So many churches in this day and time are cutting out services of the week, don't let Sunday School be one of them. Vote "YES" for Sunday School.

"Sunday School is the "school" of the church." Arthur Flake

"Sunday School provides a unique organization to reach people of all ages." Bill Sullivan

"The Sunday School is a people-focused agency and a purpose-driven movement." W. Talmadge Johnson

God bless...
