If I Had Known...
The saying "Hindsight is always 20/20" is so very true. I have a question for you, if you had known would you have done it differently, sooner, or even later... or have you at all given your life to Christ? You may think that is a silly question. Well really when you think about it it's not. we all think we have to give stuff up or be perfect to accept Christ and begin on the journey. It's a false idea that Satan uses all the time and has gotten very good at. Those people and things we think we have to give up for Christ we actually don't have to because they usually end up giving us up. They don't want to be around someone who is full of joy all the time and happy for the little things in life. They want someone to complain with and to see the ugly all around. And the things we end up giving up, everyone has at least one thing and some of us have many things, we don't even think about before we give them up. We give up stuff all the time without thinking first all because we love Christ and want what he wants for our lives. You know you are on the right track when your hearts desire is the same as Gods desire for your life. If you are one who hasn't given your life to Christ because you are afraid of what you'll have to give up to serve Jesus, why don't you try it, trust him and see if he tells you to give something up. I don't remember him telling me to give anything up... I stopped because I loved him enough to do my best at making him happy. And isn't that what the relationships in life are all about, trying to please the person we love so much? When you love someone with a sincere love you will do all you can to see them smile, our relationship with Jesus is no different. So if you haven't taken the first step towards salvation and your relationship with him go ahead, you won't be sorry! You know when you go to the pool or the beach, the best way to get in the water is to just "jump in", it's the same way with God. Just jump in and you'll land in his hands! God is more than wonderful, he's more than anything you've ever experienced on this earth and he loves you. He loved you enough to send his son to die on the cross for the redemption of our sins that anyone who believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life with him, John 3:16. I gave my life to Christ as a child and I have never been sorry I did. Have I always been the perfect? No. I have never claimed to be perfect nor will I ever claim to be, when I am perfect Christ will take me home. In life we make mistakes and sometimes those mistakes are called SIN, it's what we do next that counts. Do you walk away from a loving Father that is waiting for you to repent and come home or do you keep walking farther and farther away from the one that loves you so much. I can say if I had known Christ earlier it would've been better for me. Make the right choice today and choose Christ now and forever! God bless...
