Forever Engraved

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…”
Isaiah 49:16

When you engrave something it is meant to last a lifetime. Usually special notes, dates or events are engraved so they aren’t easily forgotten. Many people engrave their wedding rings and others engrave watches & bracelets. We want the person receiving the engraved gift to know it’s something special and thought of before hand; not just a quick last minute purchase.

The same is with God he has engraved your name on his hand, on the tender inside part of his hand. To him you are special, special enough to send his one and only son (John 3:16) to die on the cross for our sins; to be the sacrifice because we would never be able to bridge the gap between us and God. He knew that, not to mention he knew all our sins and still loved us enough to pay the price and engrave our name on the palms of his hands.

Some of us are thinking we are not special, have no talents to offer or no where you can think of to serve God. Take heart, God doesn’t make mistakes and you are wonderfully made by the unique hands of God. If you think you have nothing to offer God I encourage you to search your heart and seek first the Kingdom of God – if you seek HIS will for your life he will provide you your hearts desires and his.

God bless...
